Coolant Loss Without Visible Leaks – Constantly topping up coolant with no visible leaks often means that the coolant is being burned inside the engine. Check your oil—if it looks milky, coolant is mixing with it.
Rough Idling or Misfiring – A warped cylinder head affects compression, causing rough idling, misfires, or power loss.
Bubbles in the Radiator – Persistent bubbling in your radiator or coolant reservoir indicates combustion gases escaping into the cooling system.

Pressure Testing – The cylinder head is submerged in water and pressurised to reveal hairline cracks invisible during visual inspection. If cracks are found in critical areas, the head may need replacing. Many cracks can be repaired through welding, depending on their location and severity.
Surface Milling / Skimming – A warped cylinder head won’t seal properly. The head is mounted on a milling machine that removes a thin layer of metal from the sealing surface, making it perfectly flat again whilst maintaining manufacturer specifications.
Valve Reconditioning – The valves and their seats are carefully inspected. Worn valves or seats are machined or replaced to ensure proper sealing. Valve guides are checked for wear and replaced if necessary, and valve springs are tested for adequate tension.
Reassembly – The head gasket and head bolts are replaced with new components. The head is then carefully positioned on the engine block and torqued down following precise specifications in a specific sequence.
